Nuchanat Singchalad

Nuchanat Singchalad is one of the most internationally accomplished female jiu-jitsu athletes Thailand has produced. Competing at −52 kg for the Ju-Jitsu Association of Thailand, she has carried the Thai flag onto the highest-level international podiums in the sport — most notably the 2025 World Games in Chengdu, where she captured bronze in the Women's Ju-Jitsu Fighting division, and the 2025 JJIF Ju-Jitsu World Championships, where she added a second bronze in the same weight class within the same season.

Singchalad trains out of the Tinguinha BJJ Thailand lineage, working across both Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (gi and no-gi) and the JJIF Ju-Jitsu Fighting discipline — a Ne-Waza-led format that combines grappling and limited striking and serves as the principal international format on the JJIF and World Games circuit. That dual-format background is one of her defining attributes as a competitor: she scores in jiu-jitsu rule sets and adapts cleanly to the Ne-Waza scoring system, a combination that has translated into the World Games and World Championships podium finishes that set her apart from most of her regional peers.

Her competitive ascent has been steady and substantial. She first appeared on the international radar at the AJP Tour Thailand National Championship as a junior coloured belt, climbed into the Thai top ranks at purple, and was selected for the Thai national jiu-jitsu programme. At the 2023 SEA Games, she represented Thailand in the Ne-Waza brackets against some of the strongest names in the region, including the Philippines' Kaila Napolis. By 2025, that domestic and regional foundation had translated to the World Games and World Championship stages — placing her among the few Southeast Asian women to medal at both events in the same calendar year.
