Miyu Suzuki

Miyu Suzuki is one of the most promising young female grapplers coming out of Southeast Asia — a Thai-Japanese Youth athlete based in Bangkok, training at ARETE Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and one of Fight Aesthetic Thailand's first Youth signings for the 2026 season. She competes alongside her brother, Halu Suzuki, the two of them already known on the Thai and Southeast Asian junior circuits as one of the most consistent sibling acts in the region.

Suzuki's competitive footprint stretches back several seasons. She has been an IBJJF Pan Kids Jiu-Jitsu Championship competitor — featured in FloGrappling's tournament coverage as far back as 2023 — and has built her record steadily across the Thai and Southeast Asian youth circuits, with results spanning the Siam Cup BJJ series, AFG Open events, and the AJP Tour's regional kids brackets.

Her 2026 season has been the breakthrough. In May 2026, she captured gold in the Thai Youth Division in Bangkok alongside her brother. She followed it with the result her young career has been building toward: a World Championship gold medal in the Youth division, cementing her position as one of the most decorated junior female competitors of her generation in Thai Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Like her brother, Miyu's identity sits across two of Asia's strongest martial-arts traditions. Of Thai and Japanese heritage, she represents Thailand on the national stage while carrying the technical discipline associated with the Japanese grappling lineage — a dual foundation that has been visible in her competitive style since she first started entering brackets. In Fight Aesthetic Thailand's own framing, the Suzuki siblings have been "on a tear in the regional and international circuits" through 2025 and into 2026, and the World title is the most recent confirmation of that trajectory.

ARETE Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, the Bangkok academy she trains out of, has become one of the quiet engines of Thai junior development — producing some of the country's most decorated young grapplers in both gi and no-gi formats. Suzuki's emergence inside that environment, with structured training and frequent international competition, made her a natural fit for the Fight Aesthetic Thailand Youth programme — a brand that has positioned itself around culture, craft, and long-term investment in athletes from the start of their careers rather than only at the end.
