Together with our Parisian friends Clean Hugs, we are immensely excited to present ARTISTE MARTIAL, a celebration of French style. This limited edition release combines the very best of our kimono-making expertise with elements inspired by France's rich history, heritage and iconic imagery.

A beautiful jet black pearl weave jacket paired with a traditional diamond skirt play host to bold styling: an embroidered laurel wreath extends from the upper back to the upper chest, matte gold monograms adorn the left rib and honeybees (an emblem of immortality) find their home on both triceps. Cotton twill trousers with 'belt-buckle' style embroidery, matching matte gold detailing and our best-ever fit. There's more, but we won't ruin the surprises.

Okay Gi

Generally okay, bought it mainly because of the design.

It's a bit thick for me (so maybe won't use this during the summer), and the fit isn't exactly awesome (but then again, I've always had a hard time finding a good fit for me). The only Gi that fits me well is an A2H for A&P but i had to get an A3H for this brand, based on the measurements. The Gi top fits well for my torso and shoulders (most important) but is too long for the arms and skirt. Also, sleeves are wide for the arms (and I would like to think my arms are pretty thick 😅). The pants were also too long, but that was to be expected.

Ended up having the Gi tailored after making sure it wouldn't shrink further (minimal shrinking, btw) - had about 2 or 3 inches cut off from the sleeves and the pants. Of course, can't tailor how big (wide) the sleeves are (as seen in pic) without creating a seam, so i just live with it.

Overall, happy with the Gi because i really like how it looks; but maybe wont buy another or even a different model because of sizing issues (unless i lose weight lol).
